About
contemporary mixed media artist
Multidisciplinary artist and photographer Rosemary Marchetta received a BFA in Visual Communication from the University of Kansas, and a certificate in Digital Post Production from Boston University. She currently resides in Miami, FL. Marchetta’s approach to art-making is deeply personal. She finds inspiration by turning her gaze inward to discover ideas that are seeking form within her. The richly layered images that result are constructed realities - familiar, yet unique. This introspective process has led her to develop techniques and a means of expression uniquely her own. She has participated in multiple solo and collective exhibitions and has won several awards for her art.

Artist Statement
As an artist, I seek to come to terms with my interior world by capturing the essence of thoughts, feelings, and emotions and giving them material form. The form then speaks back to me, clarifying and expanding upon these same thoughts and emotions, bringing understanding and suggesting direction for new fields of exploration. It is an interactive process between my work and myself.
