Biography
Contemporary artist Rosemary Marchetta was born in Washington, DC. She earned a BFA from the University of Kansas before relocating to Mallorca, Spain, where she established a successful drawing and painting practice. An active member of the Balearic arts community, she participated in workshops at the Miró Foundation and served as president of the artists’ association AAVIB.
Marchetta considers drawing a foundational practice underlying all of her work. She expanded her practice into digital collage using Photoshop, exhibiting this work extensively in solo and group exhibitions. Her interest in new media later led her to earn a certificate in Digital Post-Production from Boston University, and her recent work has been selected for Augmented Reality exhibitions.
Marchetta’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions and is held in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. She lives and works in Miami, Florida.
