In this series, the word embedded refers to having a sense of place. It is the feeling of belonging to or being deeply rooted in the land, society, and culture of a specific region. These self-portraits reveal how the elements of the environment in Mallorca, Spain have become incorporated into my body and into my identity, my sense of self.
